I have been a die hard Shimano upper in scale reel ! Fish Bites Trading Post in Saint Augustine Florida convinced me to try a few of the Osprey at my Charter comedy. I opted a 2500 series reel on a bull Bay 7’6” Rod. I was so fortunate to find a 42 inch red fish and found it to be easier to control with the osprey with a 16 pound drag made the fight, not only enjoyable, but confident that I was gonna land that big fish.
Now let’s fast forward to three days ago. I had a customer on my Charter break a real. I don’t know how and if you’re Charter Captain, we all shake our head on how they break a reel, but the spool would not go up and down to level the line as it’s being rolled in. All I did was literally go on their website open a chat send them a message with pictures describing my issue. Without question this company stands behind their products. They simply sent without proof sent me a shipping label and they’re either gonna fix it or replace it. Try that with Shimano or any of the other brands. These guys are no joke when they say they are here for the angler. That’s why I switched over 100% all my reels are Florida fishing products and all my rods are gonna be the bull day because they are just as good as Florida fishing products. They stand behind their products and mean what they say. I hope this helps.
