I was looking for a light weight reel that can handle the harsh conditions of inshore fishing...salty waters, and some powerful monster fish....but still light weight so I can keep casting all day on the flats.
After a dozen plus trips in saltwater and some big fish caught with it.🤩
The reel is still running and smooth as butter..
I love how light weight the reel is. For days on the flats and mangroves you're for sure casting a lot.
This keeps me casting yet still providing me the drag to stop those monsters from getting into the mangroves
My new favorite reel for sure....A must have to anyone working artificials on the grass flats.
I had my osprey ce pro 3000 paired with the FFP white distance braid 10Lb and it cast like a champ.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our new reels from FFP. Our guests have been putting them to the test these past few months and have all complimented and asked about these reels. They love the look and feel and especially the performance and durability while battling a nice size Snook or Red.

The 2500 seems to be flawless and is smoothe. However the 3k siz feels a lot less smoothe. Feels like there is resistance inside the body. I thought it would loosen up after fighting a few redfish but it hasn't improved. Also windknot issues with the 3k. But they are strong and lightweight

These reels are better than the ones that preceeded them. It is great to know that if you need the reel serviced just send it back. Great reels great service. This Tampa Bay Guides go to reels.

I have been using the osprey CE Pro 3 and 4ks almost exclusively on my charters for the last 2 months, they stand alone in smoothness compared to any inshore spinning reel I’ve ever held. The drag is smooth and trustworthy, I’ve been at ease weekly when clients hook a larger fish than expected. I cannot recommend this reel enough to those who take inshore fishing seriously
