Can't wait to try it out, going to have to wait until April/May when the stripers are back in the Hudson River for a true test of the rod and reel..
Strong and sensitive rod. I have caught and released countless snook and redfish without any issues with my BULLBAY SNIPER ROD and 2500 CE FLORIDA FISHING PRODUCTS REEL. Love that combination.
I actually buy rods from two manufacturers. One being FFP. One of my favorite types of fishing is dock and mangroves for Reds and Snook. Reds are a tough pull from these areas but no match for a snook. After speaking with FFP I went with the 7'6" sniper with a medium heavy power and fast action. Gave me tremendous ability to skip under the obstructions and the power of the rod is able to pull the snook out of tight areas after practicing the technique with that rod. Best rod I have used in the above situations
Just a add on, I buy nothing but FFP reels due to quality and the service they offer is above and beyond. My main fishing is tuna and false albacore in the summer up North, Tarpon, Snook, Reds, and King Mackerel in the winter
Best Rod and reel for trout fishing I have ever owned.
The sniper is perfect with a fast action and a medium heavy power. Outstanding for pulling reds and snook out of mangroves and docks.
