As a hardcore Shimano guy for many years, I have been pleasantly surprised by the Bahia 1k and 2k sizes for articles. Super smooth, low start up inertia on the handle. The bell shaped knob is the greatest knob of all time. Drag is impressively smooth. If you haven’t, I highly recommend fishing one and I think you’ll be impressed too.

Incredible performance from light weight reel

Love the way feels and performs! As a kayak guide, I want light weight gear! Sitting most of the time, your arms take a beating casting in that position. The Bahia 2500 is the perfect fit for my needs! On the first trip out, I got this nice juvenile tarpon!

Amazing reel! Mounted it to my Waterloo Salinity Heavy medium rod and it’s extremely smooth. Just ordered the Osprey V2 because of how much I liked FFP.
